Wings Over 35 Scholarship
Scholarship Description
The Wings Over 35 Scholarship is designed to promote general aviation among men or women over the age of 35 to attain certification as a private pilot. In addition to WAI requirements, the applicant must be over the
age of 35, must not hold a private pilot certificate, and must have a desire to pursue higher ratings. Address financial need in your essay. All proceeds will be paid directly to the flight school of their choice and must be used within a year of receiving the award.
Eligibility Requirements
1. Must be a member of WAI.
2. Must be over the age of 35.
3. Do NOT currently hold a Private Pilot’s License.
4. Have a desire to pursue higher ratings.
5. Have a financial need.
6. Hold a third class medical.
