The ISA+21 Francesca Norris Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship Description
This scholarship was established to honor the memory of a young woman who was well on her way to achieve her dream of being an airline pilot, when she lost her life in an airplane accident. The funds for this scholarship are generously donated by the Francesca Norris Memorial Fund and the US Aviation Academy. The International Society of Women Airline Pilots (ISA+21) will award these scholarships (one of which is co-sponsored by the US Aviation Academy) to women working to acquire a CFI, CFII or MEI rating, in honor of Francesca’s memory.
Eligibility Requirements
1. Must be a member of WAI.
2. Must be a female interested in obtaining a CFI, CFII, or MEI certificate.
3. Must be able to attend the US Aviation Academy in Denton, TX for her training.
4. Must posses a Commercial Pilot’s License and current First Class Medical certificate.
NOTE: The appropriate written FAA exams must be completed with a passing grade before the scholarship dispersal.
