Scholarship Description

Formerly the GMAA/Grover Loening Scholarship Fund, the Fund’s name was changed in 2004 to honor the endowment and substantial impact made to the South Florida aviation industry and community by the late George Batchelor. The Scholarships are awarded to qualified aviation students pursuing a career in the South Florida Aviation industry.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Must have completed a minimum of 30 college credits, of which 15 must be in Aviation. (Documented
    acceptance to upper level degree program in aviation or aeronautics may replace 15 aviation credits.)
  2. Grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  3. U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident
  4. Acceptance or pending acceptance (application in
    process) by the program for which funding is sought
  5. You MUST be attending one of the following schools:
    * Miami-Dade College * Broward College * Everglades University * Embry Riddle Aeronautical University * Florida Memorial University
    * Lynn University * Florida Institute of Technology * George T. Baker Technical College
