Kenneth R. Scott Aviation Scholarship
Scholarship Description
The scholarship you’re seeking is named in honor of Ken and the many contributions he made to the advancement of airport management in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Mr. Scott’s career spanned 39 years with the Norfolk Airport Authority; 37 of these years were as Executive Director. His positive influence and energy spans beyond the greater Hampton Roads region of Virginia as Ken was instrumental in forming the VAOC, an industry group providing support to all airport operators in Virginia. Ken was extremely passionate about aviation training and education as evidenced by his role as an Adjunct Faculty Member for EmbryRiddle Aeronautical University and serving on the Virginia Aviation and Space Education Forum (VASEF) Board of Directors.
Eligibility Requirements
1. Must be a resident of the state of Virginia.
2. Must be a high school senior planning a career in the field of aviation.
3. Must be accepted or enrolled into an aviation-related program at an accredited college.
4. Must have a GPA of at least 3.50.
