James C. Ray Continuing Education Scholarship

Scholarship Award

The JCR Continuing Education Scholarship (CES) is awarded to graduating seniors who will continue their academic pathway at a post-secondary institution of their choice in pursuit of a career in aviation. Once awarded, recipients are eligible for three additional years of funding contingent upon their submitting updated documents for the respective school year.

The JCR Continuing Education Scholarship (CES) is awarded to graduating seniors who will continue their academic pathway at a post-secondary institution of their choice in pursuit of a career in aviation. Once awarded, recipients are eligible for three additional years of funding contingent upon their submitting updated documents for the respective school year.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Polk County student (public or private high school) OR an equivalent homeschooled student residing in Polk County
  • 100 volunteer hours serving aviation-related activities since freshman year
  • Demonstration of sustained extra-curricular activities, e.g. sports, student clubs, community organizations
