FlightSafety/CAE Maintenance Professional Training Award
Scholarship Description
CABAA together with independent vendors FlightSafety and CAE, will awarded two applicants with advanced training to enhance each individual’s progress toward a career in Business Aviation. The awards will only be available for students who will have graduated spring/summer of this year or within the last five years. One recipient will be awarded the FlightSafety Maintenance Initial course (Citation or similar) and one recipient will receive the CAE Maintenance Initial Course (King Air 200 or similar). These courses are designed to meet the training requirements of aviation maintenance professionals maintaining each respective aircraft. The recipient of the award must be a college student who graduated with a degree in Aircraft Maintenance and holds a current A&P license. CABAA will also provide a travel reimbursement to assist in the cost of travel.
Eligibility Requirements
1. Must be a college student who graduates this spring/summer or within the last five years (determined case by case) with a degree in Aviation and holds or will hold a current A&P Certificate.
2. Demonstrates his/her commitment to aircraft maintenance, and a desire to work in the Business Aviation field.
3. Must have at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0.
NOTE: Preference is given to Chicagoland/Illinois area residents and students, followed by residents and students of surrounding states.
