Employee Dependent Scholarship
Scholarship Description
Mead & Hunt is proud to offer a scholarship program through MH Cares to high school and college students of our employees. Scholarship recipients will be selected by a diverse panel of Mead & Hunt employee judges. Scholarship awards will be based on, but not limited to, academic achievement, school and community activities, and career goals and objectives. Financial need will not be a consideration in the selection process. The scholarship(s) will be awarded based on merit and will be given without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, Vietnam era and/or disabled veteran status, disability, or any other characteristics protected by applicable federal, state and/or local law.
Eligibility Requirements
- Employee (whose child is applying) must have completed at least one year of service at Mead & Hunt as a full-time or PT30+ employee as of the application.
- Dependent children are defined as unmarried children supported by an employee (the parent) including natural children, adopted children and step-children.
- Applicant must attend an accredited four-year college or university or a two-year accredited junior or community college, or vocational or technical institution in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree.
- The applicant must be enrolled full-time in a school based in the United States.
- Children of the current Board of Directors are not eligible to participate in the program. Previous winners are also no longer eligible
Students must submit the following:
- Application form
- Essay (less than 500 words)
- One letter of reference from non-family members (must be current as of the past 6 months).
- Unofficial transcript
