Scholarship Description

Mead & Hunt is proud to offer a scholarship program through MH Cares to high school and college students of our employees. Scholarship recipients will be selected by a diverse panel of Mead & Hunt employee judges. Scholarship awards will be based on, but not limited to, academic achievement, school and community activities, and career goals and objectives. Financial need will not be a consideration in the selection process. The scholarship(s) will be awarded based on merit and will be given without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, Vietnam era and/or disabled veteran status, disability, or any other characteristics protected by applicable federal, state and/or local law.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Employee (whose child is applying) must have completed at least one year of service at Mead & Hunt as a full-time or PT30+ employee as of the application.
  2. Dependent children are defined as unmarried children supported by an employee (the parent) including natural children, adopted children and step-children.
  3. Applicant must attend an accredited four-year college or university or a two-year accredited junior or community college, or vocational or technical institution in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree.
  4. The applicant must be enrolled full-time in a school based in the United States.
  5. Children of the current Board of Directors are not eligible to participate in the program. Previous winners are also no longer eligible

Students must submit the following:

  1. Application form
  2. Essay (less than 500 words)
  3. One letter of reference from non-family members (must be current as of the past 6 months).
  4. Unofficial transcript
