EAA Aviation Foundation Flight Training Scholarships

Scholarship Description

Flight training scholarships are intended to assist students of all ages receiving instruction toward a private pilot certificate, sport pilot certificate, or commercial certificate, additional ratings, endorsements, and training such as: instrument, tailwheel, multiengine, aerobatics, etc.

All applications are reviewed against the criteria for the individual scholarships and then awarded to those who show the greatest potential to be actively engaged in aviation.

  • We look for passionate, motivated, and career-driven students.
  • Participation in aviation clubs, organizations, and volunteer experiences will highlight your application.
  • Preference given to EAA members or members of their local EAA chapter.

Each scholarship has its own criteria, such as financial need, involvement as an EAA member, chapter member, or EAA Young Eagle, geographical location, and age requirements.

Scholarships will be awarded March 2, 2026.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must be attending or plan to attend an FAA approved flight training program in the United States or Canada.
  • To apply, you must be a citizen or resident of the U.S. or Canada, or be eligible to work or study in the U.S. or Canada, such as through a visa.
