CABA – Flight Safety Joint Scholarships
Scholarship Description
Initial Airframe Maintenance Technician Certification – on a specific airframe type (TBD)
- Applicant MUST HOLD or WILL HOLD an A&P Certificate.
Initial SIC-Only Type Rating – This is typically in a citation model with great hiring potential
- Applicant MUST HOLD or WILL HOLD a current commercial Multi-Engine Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating (not limited to VFR only and/or Centerline Thrust) with minimum 250 hours total time.
- This award can NOT be upgraded to a PIC type rating and applicant shall not have had any aircraft accidents.
- Applicant will demonstrate his/her commitment to aviation, and a desire to work in the Business Aviation field.

Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a permanent resident of Colorado.
- Must demonstrate a commitment to work in Business Aviation
- Candidates may be required to participate in a face-to-face interview, details will be provided.
- Complete and return the Application Form along with
- ONE Essay, double-spaced, 1,000 words MAXIMUM, addressing the following topics:

- Have you graduated from a college or university offering an aviation program?
- Are you currently employed with Business Aviation or do you have a desire to begin a career in Business Aviation
- What does the phrase ‘Business Aviation’ mean to you?
- How have you prepared yourself for a career in Business Aviation thus far, and how will you use this training award to advance your career?
- This essay should be constructed in a manner that provides as much information as possible about yourself and your goals.
- THREE Letters of Recommendation, other than relatives or students. ONE of the letters must be from an individual currently working in Business Aviation outside of your professors.
