Scholarship Description

American Airlines will award up to four $7,500 educational scholarship to a qualified member of Women in Aviation who is interested in developing skills that will lead to a career as a professional airline pilot.

Funds may be used for: Flight training such as private pilot, instrument, multi-engine, commercial, instructor, or ATP. Funds are not applicable towards a sport or recreational pilot certificate. Candidates must have a high
school diploma, be 18 years of age or older, and have enrolled in a private pilot ground school course or logged flight time with a CFI.

Eligibility Requirements

1. Must be an active member of WAI.
2. Must have a high school diploma and a willingness to develop skills that will lead to a career as a professional airline pilot.
3. Must have enrolled in a private pilot ground school course, or have logged flight time with a certified flight instructor.
4. Must be at least 18 years of age at the date of application.

3. How have you demonstrated your involvement with WAI?
