AeroStar ATP CTP Certification Training Scholarship
Scholarship Description
The ATP CTP course is a prerequisite for the FAA’s highest certificate.
This training program will impart conceptual knowledge through academics and consolidate that knowledge through training in a Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD).
Successful completion of our FAA-approved course makes you eligible to take the ATP Multi-Engine (ATM) knowledge test, which you may take at any testing center.
The ATP Certificate Training Program is 7-9 days long, (32 hours) 4 days ground taught by an experienced airline pilot; (10 hours)
3 days advanced flight simulation training in a Level D Full Flight Sim;(4 hours) 1 day of Level D Flight Training Device as crew; (6 hours) 2 days of Level D Full Flight Sim (FFS) as crew.
This scholarship does not include lodging and transportation. Training must be scheduled to commence no later than one year from award. Cannot be converted to cash value or transferred to any other course or person.
Eligibility Requirements
- You must be a current WAI member to apply.
- two (one-page) recommendation letters
- typed, descriptive 500-word essay
- professional resume
- copies of all aviation and medical certificates and the last
three pages of your pilot logbook (if applying for advanced
flight training scholarships) - other applicable information as requested for each specific
award/grant scholarship. Read listings carefully
