The Association for Women in Aviation Maintenance (AWAM) scholarship
Scholarship Description
AWAM’s Scholarship Program supports the diverse skills required in the field of Aviation Maintenance. AWAM began its scholarship program in 2002 with four scholarships awarded to eight recipients. Scholarship opportunities are not limited solely to women or students; many scholarships are open to active technicians, transitioning military, and people of any gender. Scholarship awards will be announced during our Inaugural AWAM Conference in Irving, TX.
Eligibility Requirements
- Only online applications will be accepted
- You must be a member of AWAM to apply
- You may apply for a maximum of 5 scholarships
- AWAM basic requirements:
- Resume
- Essay – 250 words on your interest in aviation
- Any scholarship specific essay
- Two letters of recommendation
- Copy of A&P Certificate, School Transcripts, or Statement of industry Involvement, as appropriate.
- Different scholarships will have varying application criteria so read the scholarship flyer carefully!
